Yes, it is highly recommended that you pre-book your equipment hire with us to ensure you have a simple and speedy hire experience.

What is the minimum hire period?

For the majority of our gear, the minimum hire period is half a day (5 hours) A full day is 24 hours which is from time of collection (except metered equipment with hourly rates after 8hrs).

Our Fitzroy branch is open 7 days a week, until 12pm on the weekend.

How do I set up an account?

Accounts are very easy to set up, an account application along with our terms and conditions can be found on our website (in the footer). You can either complete these forms and email in or pop into our branch to complete in person.

The majority of our pricing is online, however, if it is a Price on Application product (POA) or for a longer-term hire, you can request a quote via email and our team will come back to you promptly. Alternatively, call the branch directly or enquire in store.

If you know the equipment will be returned late it is important that you inform the branch and advise us when it will be returned.

Do you have an after-hours service?

Yes we do offer an after-hours service within reason when we have staff available to assist.

Can I hire equipment from one branch and drop it off at a different branch?

Yes that it is no problem at all, please discuss this with your Tool Hire Taranaki branch at the time of booking as our Spotswood branch is not open at the weekends.
