Tool Hire Taranaki is a locally owned and operated family run business established in 2014.

We offer a full range of professional-quality hire tools and equipment and we are passionate about what we do. We strive to be the best hire centre in New Plymouth and the greater region of Taranaki. Here to take the hassle and expense out of your construction, maintenance, DIY or landscaping project and to meet the needs of professional tradespeople, avid DIY enthusiasts and businesses.

Giving back to the community is high on the list of priorities at Tool Hire Taranaki. We are involved in numerous events, providing equipment and sponsoring local clubs, schools and organisations each year brings us huge satisfaction.

Husband and wife

Daniel and Charlotte Lock and the team at Tool Hire Taranaki are driven to provide excellent customer service every time.

Daniel brings a wealth of knowledge to the business with more than 15 years’ experience as a builder and an avid ‘tool’ collector. He has worked in all aspects of construction from new homes, large renovations, small alterations and concrete work.

Charlotte has a Bachelor of Arts in Three Dimensional Design specialising in metal and plastics. Working in the workshop for three years, she knows a thing or two about tools. Since graduation she has honed her skills in sales and advertising.
